The HP (Agilent, Keysight) 8753 series of Network Analyzers can accurately
measure
insertion
loss and gain, return loss, and absolute power quickly and
accurately. These scalar measurements can be performed over a
broad 300Khz to 3Ghz frequency range.
These analyzers were known for display failures, problems with the
power supplies, and analog processor board failures. We usually
have exchange spares in stock for most common problems. These
machines are still a good value for the dollar on the used
